the gardener

my love is an amazing gardener
he waters our plants
and digs
and digs
and digs
deep moats all around them.

our plants are the centre of a moat spiral
filled with everything my lover loves
why do our plants never grow?
my love must know what he's doing,
for he is an amazing gardener.

so I stay

since he gives me a taste of his sweeter crops
every now and then.

bathtub

the world is a colossal bathtub

i'm too disgusted to get inside,
to let my foot touch the cold bottom,
but i do anyway
because i want to be part of the world
i want to be clean and smell nice,
         just like everybody else.

as the tub starts to fill,
i'll let the hot water scar my naked body
with a thousand sharp fingernails
while i shut my eyes and smile.
its wet warmth will slither between my teeth and find its way to my throat where it might linger for a while
          like a worm trapped inside
          the womb of an apple

i go through various degrees of pain as i try to find the ideal heat
and they are all so beautiful

when will I drown?
i've always preferred showers.

I stepped on yellow dandelions like they were the earth's 

filthiest progenies

molded them into flower crowns then waited and watched them die

pulled them out the ground, mutilated their sunkissed heads,

then kissed them myself

every now and then.

I've abused the earth's holiest creation and watched the world go on like I haven't commited the most gruesome of sins

little did I know, dandelions were always going to be

my favourite flowers 

what I did for Markus

lay me down on the bathroom floor 
and poke my heart with a wooden spike
remind me of my gruesome origins
as my ribs part for you.
                        I open my chest for you
                        so enter
my ribs will unite once more
carefully intertwining at the very end
as you become comfortable in their cold embrace.

once the spike is settled in the flesh there's only a matter of time until it begins
to rot.
